How we use your email address
When you create an account, we use your email address to create and activate your account, let you sign in, send password reset links, and send essential account, security, or legal policy update messages.
We may also use your email address to reply to a support or privacy request that you make.
We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use your account email for marketing if you have opted out of email updates about Solar Butter.

- Contract: to create and operate your account and provide the simulator service you asked for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, investigate misuse, and support users.
- Consent: for optional analytics cookies and for any optional marketing contact you choose to request.
Processors and service providers
We use service providers to operate the platform. This includes AWS SES for transactional account emails such as activation and password reset messages, Google reCAPTCHA to protect authentication and password reset forms from abuse, and Google Analytics for optional website analytics when you consent.
These providers process data on our behalf so we can operate the service. They are not permitted to use your personal data for their own unrelated marketing purposes.
Retention
- Your account email address is retained while your account remains active and afterwards only for as long as needed to handle legal obligations, disputes, or security matters.
- Marketing enquiries are retained only for as long as needed to answer and manage the enquiry or any follow-up you request.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of data that you provided, where those rights apply.
